6 RFYS players in U-22 AFC C'ship Qualifiers Trial Camp

Six players from Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) will feature in the U-22 AFC Championship Qualifiers trial camp scheduled to be held at the Andheri Sports Complex from May 16th to 18th.

The trial camp will be administered by the Indian coaching staff, led by Head coach Stephen Constantine and the deserving players stand a lifetime opportunity to join the under-22 National team camp.

The 6 RFYS youngsters participated in RFYS 2016 and have showcased some exquisite footballing skills, both individually and as a team.

Shanon Pereira (Maharashtra), Gary Martin (Maharashtra), Ajith Sivan (Kerala) and Akshay Joshy (Kerala) are the one's plying their trade from the center of the park. Umesh Perambra (Maharashtra) is the reliable center-back, while Renaldo (Maharashtra) is the one with the striking boots on.
 

Abhishek Yadav, Director - Scouting and COO of FIFA U-17 World Cup India, said: "We are extremely glad to scout some raw talent from RFYS matches at Maharashtra and Kochi. The important aspect about RFYS' efforts is that more options are being provided to the Indian National team coaches for selection.

"This is also a huge opportunity for the scouted boys to be at trials under the supervision of Head Coach, Stephen Constantine. It will help them grow as professional footballers.
