At least six workers were injured today when the roof of a newly constructed building collapsed in Industrial Estate area of Balasore.
The workers, engaged in construction of the building, were trapped under the debris after the roof caved in, Balasore district Collector Pramod Das said after visiting the mishap site along with other officials.
The workers hailed from Mayurbhanj district and were rescued by local people and fire brigade personnel.
They suffered multiple injuries and were admitted to the district hospital here.
The administration would bear the expenses of their treatment, Das said.
