A 60 feet tall Ravana effigy will be burnt on the occasion of Dussehra at Central Park in Salt Lake.
Lalit Beriwala, president of Salt Lake Sanskriti Parishad said today, this year the effigy will be 10 feet taller than last year.
"The effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakarna will also be
60 feet tall and we hope a large turnout on September 30," Beriwala said.
"The Dussehra celebration on Vijaya Dashami day is aimed at fostering amity between different communities in Bengal and to mark the triumph of good over evil," he said.
