A 60-year-old undertrial prisoner undergoing life imprisonment today died in the district jail here.
Uday Bhan Singh was found unconscious in his barrack this morning and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead, a police spokesman said.
Singh was undergoing life sentence after being convicted in a murder case.
The cause of the death could not be ascertained immediately, jail authorities said adding they were awaiting post mortem report.
