The format of play will be Double Peoria in two handicap categories with as many as 10 coveted National Finals spot up for grabs. The unique format of adjusting handicaps of players each day enables more golfers to have a chance of qualifying for the National Finals.

This year, the 'Drive to Major' contest will enable one golfer to travel to the British Open Championship at St Andrews, Scotland this July and compete for a chance to play on the championship course the day following the tournament.

Adding to the excitement of the Mercedes Trophy, a new prize category - 'Best Gross' score has been introduced, which recognises the best player each day.
