60th National Ball Badminton Tournament begins in AP

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said his government will shortly announce a sports policy in the state.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 60th National Senior Ball Badminton Championship for men and women here.

He also announced that the state is prepared to host the National Games in 2018 and this has been conveyed to the Centre.

The CM said the state is contemplating to construct world-class stadiums at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati to promote sports in the state and also to conduct national and international competitions.

Naidu said that previously, when he was the CM, the Afro-Asian Games and World Military Games were held in Hyderabad.
