Sixty-two cartons of smuggled liquor were seized and seven smugglers arrested in the past three days by the district excise department, official said today.
According to District Excise Officer Ram Ujagir Maurya, 23 cartons of smuggled liquor were seized today from Chapargarh area near Yamuna Expressway and two smugglers arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, the investigating team cracked down on a trio of liquor smugglers yesterday in Bisrakh area.

The smugglers were arrested and two motorcycles recovered from their possession that had 3 cartons of smuggled liquor, Maurya said.
The official said that 18 cartons of smuggled liquor were seized from an Indigo car at Kalindi Kunj area and two smugglers arrested on June 27.
On the same day, another 15 cartons were seized from a different car and three cartons from a motorcycle.
An FIR has been lodged in the cases at Noida sector 39 police station, Maurya added.
