Customs officials said that the scales of Pangolin also known as Scaly Anteater, which were seized yesterday, are worth Rs 37 lakh in the local market.
K Manga, from whose house the Pangolin scales were seized, said that he was instructed to send the scales to a man named Padawnga in Myanmar.
The scales of Scaly Anteater, an endangered specie, are used for making garments and other purposes, the officials said.
