63 nominations rejected in Rajasthan

Nomination of 63 candidates, including mother of Union Minister and PCC chief Sachin Pilot, were rejected during scrutiny of papers in the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Rajasthan going to polls on April 17.

An official spokesman said the nomination of Rama Pilot was rejected from the Ajmer, while that of Niharika, wife of sitting MP Dushyant Singh, was rejected from Jhalawar-Baran seat.

Both of them had filed their papers as substitute candidates.

In the first phase, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur-rural, Jaipur, Ajmer, Nagaur, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalawar-Baran will go to polls.
 

In the second phase, Alwar, Bharatpur Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Tonk-Sawaimadhopur will go to polls on April 24.
