65-year-old man killed over dispute

A 65-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly attacked with a shovel by two persons following a heated argument between them at Babbehali village here today.

Amrik Singh, a former head master of a local school, was today attacked by Sukhwinder Singh and his son Shamsher Singh with a shovel. He died at the scene, police said.

The victim's wife Balwinder Kaur in her complaint alleged that her husband was attacked by the accused with a shovel when he tried to stop them from erasing demarcation between their fields.

A murder case was registered against accused, SP Jagjit Singh Saroa said.
