An estimated 68.02 percent voters exercised their franchise in the repolling held on Wednesday in five polling stations of Karimganj (SC) and Autonomous District (ST) constituencies of Assam.
Voting in both the constituencies was held in the second phase on April 18.
In the four polling stations of Karimganj 67.25 per cent voters exercised their franchise while in the one in Autonomous District 70.78 per cent polling was reported, an election office spokesperson said here.
The repolling was ordered in the five polling stations as the printed data of the VVPAT slip was not clear, the spokesperson said.
Repolling was held in polling station number 105 at Batoiya LP School, polling station number 134 at Gandarvakhani LP School, polling station number 152 at Atanagar LP School and polling station number 153 at Atanagar LP School in Karimganj(SC) seat.
Re-polling was also conducted at polling station number 136 at Upper Dillaji LP School of Autonomous District (ST) constituency, the spokesperson said.
