68th convention of IFWJ to be held from Nov 17

The 68th convention of Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) will be held from November 17.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be the chief guest of the two-day event which will be chaired by national president of IFWJ K Vikram Rao, Chairman of the organising committee Hemant Tiwari said.

Around 500 delegates, including 30 member delegation from Sri Lanka and 26 states in the country, will be participating in the event, he said, adding issues related to media would be discussed in different sessions during the event.

Hemant said the venue of the event has been named after senior journalist Manoj Srivastava, who was also former member of governing body of UP Press Club.
 

Other members of the organising committee include J P Tiwari, P K Tiwari, Siddharth Kalhans and T B Singh.
