A total of 69 complaints in respect of misuse of funds by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) under various welfare schemes have been received by it, the government said today.
The schemes were run by the the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry, its Minister of State P Balram Naik said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
He said that in the event of a proven misappropriation by an organisation, action is initiated to blacklist the NGO.
