Seven Bangladeshi immigrants, who have been residing here without valid documents for the past several months, were arrested today.
One of the immigrants was picked up on suspicion last night and based on his interrogation six others were apprehended today at Chundathumpoyil, police said.
The arrested immigrants did not have any identity document or passport with them, police said.
They were working as construction labourers and had been staying in the city for six months and one year.
Police said further investigations were on to verify whether any of the arrested had any criminal record.
