Seven persons have died in the state with cold wave conditions intensifying in Uttar Pradesh during the last 24 hours, officials said today.
With cold conditions worsening in the region, five persons were reported dead from Bareilly district and two from the Barabanki district.
The weather remained dry with fog occurring at most places and cold conditions prevailing at many places across the state during the day, the MeT department said.

While the temperature registered a significant slump in Gorakhpur division, it rose appreciably in the Lucknow division.
The mercury rose in Allahabad, Kanpur divisions and changed a tad in remaining divisions of the state.
It was appreciably below normal in Varanasi division, below normal in Faizabad division and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 3.6 degree Celsius in Hamirpur.
The meteorological department has predicted a dry weather for tomorrow.
