Seven persons lost lives in flood in Kisanganj and Purnea districts of Bihar that has so far affected over five lakh people in the state, official sources said today.
This came into light during a review meeting of flood situation in the state under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The meeting attended by Chief Secretary Ashok Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary Disaster Management Vyasji took stock of relief and rescue operation in the flooded areas.

The Chief Minister was told that rescue teams are helping people and they are being sent to safe areas in Kisanganj and Purnea districts, an official release said here.
Proper arrangements were being made for distribution of food and relief materials among marooned people, the Chief Minister was told.
Sinha said over 5 lakh people in Kisanganj and Araria have been affected by flood due to increase in water level in Mahananda river so far.
