7 held for stealing goods worth Rs 13.87L from two factories

Seven persons were today arrested for allegedly stealing various goods including copper plates, worth Rs 13.87 lakh, from two factories here, police said today.

The arrested accused, who hail from Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, looted valuables from the premises of the two factories on March 21, said Jalna Police's local crime branch head Rajendra Singh Gour.

They looted goods like copper rods, scrape, iron. They also stole a two-wheeler, Gour said, adding a case was registered at the Chandanjhira police station.

The officer said efforts are on to apprehend two others, who were also involved in the crime.
