7 injured in road accident in J&K

Seven persons, including a CRPF constable, were injured when their vehicle skidded-off a bridge and rolled down into a deep gorge on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district today.

An Innova vehicle, which was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, skidded off the bridge at Shalghari Nullah near Banihal and rolled down 70-feet gorge today, police said.

Seven passengers were injured in the incident, they said, adding that they were taken to the Sub District Hospital, Banihal where their condition was stated to be stable.

Police have registered a case in this regard.

The injured passengers are from UP, Haryana, Bihar, MP and Assam. The CRPF constable has been identified as Harinder Singh.
