Seven persons including a baby girl, were killed in separate incidents of house collapse due to heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh in the past 24 hours, police said today.
Three persons, including a 10-year-old boy, were killed in Sitapur while two died in Badaun in separate incidents of wall collapse and one person died in Bareilly due to house collapse, they said.
An infant was killed in Ghaziabad when the boundary wall of an under-construction cluster of flats collapsed due to heavy rains, police said.

Bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, they added.
According to Meteorological Department, maximum of 17 cm rainfall was received in Hardoi while Moradabad and Shahjahanpur had witnessed 15 and 14 cm rainfall respectively.
The MET office also predicted heavy rainfall in next 24 hours at isolated places in western Uttar Pradesh.
Major rivers in the state were also rising due to heavy rains.
According to Central Water commission report, Sharda river is flowing above danger mark in Paliakalan (Lakhimpur) while Ghagra river is flowing close to danger mark at Elgin Bride (Barabanki).
River Ganga is also rising in Kanpur, Dalmau (Raebareli), Mirzapur and Varanasi while Yamuna is on rise in Auraiya and Hamirpur while Ghagra is rising in Ayodhya and Turtipar (Ballia), it said.
