7 killed in road accident in Haryana

Seven persons, most of them college students, were today killed and 19 others injured, when the bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck on Saha-Sahjadpur road near here, police said.

While 14 injured persons were admitted to Civil Hospital at Ambala Cantonment, five critically injured were rushed to PGIMER at Chandigarh, they said.

Senior administrative officials have rushed to the accident site, police said, adding, that the bus belonged to a private college in Barwala.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem and a case has been registered, police said.

State Health Minister Anil Vij, who represents the Ambala Cant Assembly constituency where the accident happened, met the injured students at the Civil Hospital and directed the doctors to pay special attention to them.
