7 killed in road accident in Rajasthan

Seven persons were killed and 14 others injured when a pick up jeep in which they were travelling collided head on with a truck in Sridoongargarh area in the district today.

The incident occurred near Bigga village when the victims, all occupants of the jeep, were returning to Gusainsar after attending a function in Ketasar village, SHO Sridoongargarh police station Niket Kumar Pareek said.

The deceased were identified as Mohini Devi (50), Purkha Ram (60), Gayatri (12), Patram (22), Haruram (30), Kanaram (30) and Amra Ram (40).

He said 8 injured were admitted in a local hospital in the town while six critically injured were admitted to PBM government hospital in Bikaner city.
 

"The truck has been seized but a search is underway for its driver who fled after the accident," he added.
