A seven-year-old girl was mowed down by a speeding vehicle and dragged for a few metres leaving her critically injured, in west Delhi's Vikaspuri area.
The accident happened yesterday when the girl, Saanvi, was crossing the road with her family members, police said.
The accused driver tried to flee from the spot but was caught by the girl's family members, they added.
The girl was rushed to hospital where her condition is critical.
The family stays in Noida but had come to Vikaspuri to attend a puja being held on the death anniversary of her grandmother.
