A seven-year-old girl was allegedly
raped by a youth in Guwadi village here leaving her seriously injured.
The incident took place last night when 21-year-old Lokesh Meena, who was in an inebriated state, lured the minor to a nearby field and raped her.
The accused, who was known to the victim, fled the spot when the girl's mother and aunt came there to relieve themselves.
He was later detained by police, and a case was registered against him.
The girl was found in a severely injured condition and taken to Maharao Bheem Singh (MBS) Hospital where she was operated upon and is currently undergoing treatment, SHO Arvind Sharma said.
