A seven-year-old child died after a speeding tractor trolley hit a motorcycle his family was travelling on, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday near village Gudau under Jalesar police station, sparking protests by locals, they said.
According to the FIR lodged by the deceased's father, Amit, he was travelling to Agraby his motorcycle with his wife and child Shubham riding pillion.
When the tractor trolley hitthe motorcycle, Shubhamfell down and died, it says, adding, the driver escaped after the accident.
There were protests by angry locals who blocked the road demanding arrest of the driver but police managed to pacify them after some time and the road was cleared, a police officer said.
The postmortem has been conducted, he said.
