Around 70 packets of party drug 'Yaba' worth over Rs 60 lakh were seized from the possession of two persons in the city's Topsia area on Saturday, police said.
The duo were arrested and booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, a police officer said.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Kolkata Police intercepted an SUV with the two Assam-based drug peddlers on Topsia Road (South), he said.
"Around 1.5 lakh pieces of 'Yaba' tablets also known as amphetamines, weighing about 15.69 kg were seized from their possession," the officer added.
