Pawar, who is also the state Energy Minister, was replying to a discussion on the supplementary demands of his departments in the Lower House.

The state government's target is to make the entire state load shedding-free by December this year and it would be achieved, he said.

The total energy requirement of the state is around 13,000 MW and the energy generation is around 12,500 MW, he said. The deficiency is around 500 MW, he added.

If there is not enough rain during July, the government may stop water supply to the Tata Power project and make additional water available where required most, he said.
