Seventy workers of various departments, PSUs of the government or large private sector units will be presented the Prime Minister's Shram Awards for 2012.
The awards for 2012, which were announced today are given in recognition of distinguished performance, innovative abilities, outstanding contribution to productivity, exhibition of exceptional courage and presence of mind.
This year, one nomination for the prestigious Shram Ratna Award, eight nominations for the Shram Bhushan Award, twenty nominations for Shram Vir or Shram Veerangana and forty one nominations for Shram Shree or Shram Devi Awards have been selected, an official statement said.
