Close to 150 delegates from all across the globe are in attendance for the 71st International Boxing Association (AIBA) Commissions' meeting , being held for the first time in India.
The chairpersons from 11 commissions of AIBA have gathered to discuss the future of world boxing for a three-day meeting starting today in Greater Noida.
Alongside will be the members from AIBA pro Boxing, Athletes and Youth, Coaches, Disciplinary, Ethics, Medical, Refereeing & Judging, Scientific, Technical & Rules, Women's and World Series Boxing who are going to be part of the three-day event that will be led by AIBA President Dr Ching-Kuo Wu, AIBA Executive Director William Louis-Marie and Boxing Federation of India President Ajay Singh.

Welcoming AIBA President and other members, BFI President Ajay Singh said, "I welcome Dr. Wu and his team to India. It a moment of great honour to be hosting the first ever AIBA Commissions Meeting in India and we look forward to key discussions to evolve the sport of boxing globally."
BFI recently conducted the AIBA Star One certification courses for Coaches and Referees & Judges in Rohtak.
The core purpose of AIBA commissions is to set out new agenda for further development of the sport as well as the management. The commissions would also discuss formulating new rules and regulations into the sport and implementing new programmes.
