Playgrounds of some Delhi government schools will now be able to be used by sports associations and clubs to oragnise events.
The Delhi government today decided that 77 playgrounds of its schools can be used for outdoor sports activities that includes events by sports associations and clubs.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a senior government official said.

"Sports associations and clubs will be allowed to use playgrounds of government schools for organising sports events.
"Besides, individuals interested in sports activities can also use these premises for training and coaching students," the official said.
According to the government, the permission for using these playgrounds will be given by the concerned district Deputy Director of Education after a written proposal will be forwarded by concerned heads of schools.
