As many as 788 violations of of labour laws were detected by the Haryana government during inspections at industrial establishments in the past six months, an official spokesman said here today.
The Labour Department recovered over Rs 24.94 lakh as fine from dafaulters, he said.
Prosecutions were launched against 747 establishments and convictions obtained in 930 cases, the spokesman said adding warnings were also issued to 148 industrial units.

Over 260 industrial disputes were settled by the conciliation officers and 74 withdrawn by workers or trade unions during the period, he said.
The department also recovered Rs 3.61 crore as unpaid contribution from employers towards the provident fund and spent nearly Rs 1.23 crore on implementation of various labour welfare schemes, the spokesman said.
