The 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Exercise and Sports Sciences (APCESS) ended here today.
The three-day event, organised by the Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS), in collaboration with Manav Rachna International University, witnessed discussions, workshops, seminars and symposiums on various topics.
Held in India for the first time, the conference was based on the theme 'Inter-disciplinary Applied Approach to Health and Performance Enhancement through Sports Science'.

As many as 900 delegates from 41 countries including China, Croatia, Germany, Malaysia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Turkey participated in the event to debate on a slew of issues including promotion of research in the sphere of exercise and sports.
The conference was supported by the Sports Authority of India.
Chief guest of the opening session of the event, K P Singh Deo, former Union minister and President-Emeritus of the Rowing Federation Of India, said, "Conferences of this type will be an inspiration to not only sports people but also to policy makers. These will be the stepping stone for India in achieving further excellence.
