8,000 aspirants offered employment at job fair: Delhi govt

More than 8,000 candidates were offered jobs during a two-day job fair which concluded here today.

According to the Delhi government, about 47,000 aspirants visited the job fair, of whom 25,787 were short-listed for employment.

"On the first day of the job fair, 74 companies participated and 3,762 candidates were offered jobs. On its last day, 82 companies came and 4,526 were offered jobs," an official said.

He claimed that package offered to selected candidates ranged between Rs 15,000 and Rs 60,000.

In a statement, Employment Minister Gopal Rai suggested that the next job fair would be held in February next year.
