Eight persons waiting at a roaside bus stand were injured when a lorry and crane collided and hit them near Annur in the district today, police said.
The crane and lorry collided head-on while trying to negotiate two cars at Kariampalayam, around 40 km from here. Under the impact, both the vehicles veered into the bus stand and injured eight persons waiting there.
Three of then were seriously injured, police said adding all eight had been hospitalised.
Two cars parked near the bus stand were also damaged in the incident, police said.
