About eight kg of silver articles and Rs 30,000 cash were stolen from a temple at RS Puram area in the city, police said.
The burglary came to light early this morning when the priest arrived to open the temple and found the lock on the front gate broken open, police said.
The burglars gained entry into a room, forced open an almirah and decamped with eight kg of silver articles, including ornaments and Rs 30,000 in cash, they said.
