Eight persons were killed and two others injured when their vehicle rammed into a stationary truck in Simbhawali area of Hapur district today.
The incident occurred near Sikeda village at about 6 AM when they were returning from Garhmukteshwar after "Ganga Snan", police said.
The deceased have been identified as Rahul Gautam, Naresh, Lokesh, Rogin, Lakhmi, Veero, Mukesh and Kamlesh, they said.
The two injured women Kamla and Dulari were rushed to a hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, they added.
