Eight persons, including women and children, were killed and four others injured when a tempo was hit by a truck in Baheri area today, police said.
The incident occurred this morning when the tempo carrying passengers was hit by the truck near Jaam village on Nainital road killing six persons, including a woman and a child, on the spot, the police said.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital where a woman and a child succumbed to their injuries, they said, adding that the victims could not yet be identified.
