An elderly man died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks in Kalyanpur area here, police said today.
The incident happened last night when 80-year-old Vijay Bahadur went to have juice and while crossing the railway tracks, he got hit by the passing train, a police spokesperson said, adding that Bahudur died on the spot.
Bahadur was father of Chemistry Professor at DBS college N P Katiyar, he said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, he said, adding that investigations are going on in the case.
