82 recently-promoted DSPs adjusted, 6 others transfered

Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police has adjusted recently promoted 82 Deputy Superintendents of Police and transferred six others.

All the 82 officers, who were recently promoted as Deputy Superintendents of Police, were adjusted by DGP K Rajindra Kumar, who also issued transfer orders of five DSPs in the interest of the administration, a police spokesman said.

In addition, DSP Aftab Ahmad was posted as Deputy SP in IR 4th Battalion against one deputation reserve post, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said the Departmental Promotion Committee met under the chairmanship of Additional Director General of State Police S M Sahai here and approved promotions of 260 officers and officials of the armed police.
 

Those promoted include 48 Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Sub-Inspectors, 59 Head Constables as Assistant Sub Inspectors, 78 Selection Grade Constables as Head Constables and 65 Constables to the rank of Selection Grade Constables, the spokesman said.
