Noida Disaster Management Cell and the NDRF today conducted a training session for 85 volunteers, including 35 women, at the Nithari village community centre here.
"Unplanned habitats like village clusters are vulnerable to disasters. Proper training, awareness and volunteerism can reduce loss of lives," said disaster management expert JVS Chaudhary.
The DMC conducted theoretical classes while the practical evaluation was done by NDRF officials.
