Madhav Vaidya (85) was found dead by the security personnel of the seven-storeyed White Lily building about 4 pm after he heard a loud thud, police said.
Subsequently, police were informed about the incident.
Police later recovered a Baygon pesticide bottle and a suicide note written in Marathi language from the victim's flat, they said.
