Graduation certificates to 86 cadets of 89th Indian Naval Academy Course of the Indian Naval Academy (INA) were awarded today at the convocation ceremonny at nearby Ezhimala by Vice Chancellor of Indian Maritime University in Chennai, Ashok Vardhan Shetty.
Deputy Commandant, Vice Admiral P Ajit Kumar, Chief Instructor, Rear Admiral M D Suresh and Principal, Rear Admiral K S Venugopal were present at the ceremony, a release from the PRO, INA, said.
The Ceremony marked the culmination of a four-year training regimen wherein the AICTE accredited B-Tech degree is run simultaneously with and parallel to a harsh curriculum of Navy specific subjects and an Intensive Outdoor Training curriculum, it said.
Trophies were also awarded to meritorious cadets on the occasion, the release said.
