9.5 kg of crude opium seized

The police today seized 9.5 kg of crude opium at Khuzama on Nagaland-Manipur border during routine check and arrested one person, police said.

The crude opium was found concealed inside an inverter box carried by a person in a passenger vehicle.

The 52-year-old person who hailed from Begusarai in Bihar was arrested at the Inter-state check gate when he was going from Imphal in Manipur to Dimapur in Nagaland.
