9,798 posts of sub-inspectors in UP Police lying vacant

Of the total 19,898 posts of sub-inspectors sanctioned, 9,798 are lying vacant, state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohammad Azam Khan told the UP assembly in reply to a query by BJP member Suresh Kumar Khanna.
