Nine people have been killed when three heavy-duty trucks collided on a highway in north China's Shanxi Province, police said today.
The three trucks from neighbouring Hebei province collided on the highway in the city of Yizhou yesterday, killing eight road maintenance workers and one travelling in one of the truck.
Two more were injured in the accident but are in stable condition, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
