Nine people were killed and five others injured today when a minibus carrying them fell off a cliff in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The incident happened in Du'an Yao Autonomous County in Hechi City, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

The minibus, with 14 people on board, was driving on a mountain road in rain when it fell off the cliff.

The injured have been admitted to hospital.

Initial investigation blamed slippery road and low visibility for the accident.
