The Education Department slapped a fine of Rs one lakh on nine public schools today for allegedly running classes without affiliation, police said.
Notices were issued to the management committees by education officer of Razapur block to close down their schools, Besik Shiksha Adhikari Vinay Kumar said.
The notices have been served upon the management committees.
Theschools were being run even after receiving notices of closure. These schools were not following the norms of right to education, Kumar said.
The schools which were served the notice were Jyoti Public School, Inder Garhi, D N Public School, Mayur Vihar Dasna, Basheer Memorial Public School, Bhoor Garhi, Tushar Public School, Nangla, Ghaziabad Minority Girls School, Dasna, Ikra Public School, Nidauri, Sunrise Public School Masuta, Bright Future Academy, Dasna and Tanvi Public School, Jalalabad.
