A nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man while she was returning home from school near Vellakoil in Tirupur district, police said today.
The girl's father in his complaint said that his daughter, a fourth standard student, was accosted by a man known to him while she was on her way home, taken to a deserted spot and sexually assaulted some days back.
The girl later told her parents about it, following which the father filed a complaint, police said, adding that a hunt was on to nab the man.
