: A nine-year-old girl was killed on the spot when a speeding van ran over her near her house at Kottanathampatti in the district, police said.
The third standard student had not gone to school today as she was not feeling well. She was playing in front of her house this afternoon when the van hit her.
The van driver was arrested, police said.
