Two weeks after 911 fresh recruits of Jammu and Kashmir police went on a rampage over the delay in their passing out parade, they were inducted into the force at a function at Manigam Police Training School today.
Additional Director General of Police (Coordination) P L Gupta, while congratulating the pass-outs, advised them to imbibe noble values of life while discharging their obligations.
The 11th batch of 911 recruits, who were at the training school for last more than one year, went on a rampage on June 20 over the delay in conduct of their passing out parade.

He also emphasised on the aspects of accountability, respect towards law and command of superiors in their daily performance which would help them deliver effectively and maintain public faith.
Earlier, Gupta was presented with a general salute at the parade.
All round best recruit constable Rizwan-ul-Zaman was granted one rank promotion as Selection Grade Constable with commendation certificate.
Constables Mohammad Jamal, Anil Verma, Shabir Ahmed and Mohammad Hussain were also awarded with special commendation certificates and cash rewards for their excellent performance during the training course.
On the occasion, the Principal of the Training School, Bakar Samoon, administered the oath to the recruits.
Among the recruits, 42 are post-graduates, 259 graduates and 396 undergraduates.
