Ninety-six people suffered minor injuries across Odisha when they rushed out into the open in fright when an earthquake struck on Wednesday night.
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) P K Mohapatra said today that the tremblor had been felt over most parts of the state, but there was no report of casualty or major damage.
Two persons in Bhubaneswar fractured their legs when they jumped from the terraces of their residences as the 'quake rattled furniture, windows and shook the ground.

A statement from the SRC's office said that 96 people had been treated for injuries in different hospitals in the states of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Jajpur, besides the capital city.
